Fedriga meets Meloni: “We want to heal the fracture in Friuli Venezia Giulia”

"This is the will, both mine and that of President Meloni." This was said by the President of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga , leaving Palazzo Chigi after the meeting with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni , responding to those who asked him if the fracture within the center-right majority in the Region can be mended. "Now it is the will to relaunch the action of the regional administration, which I think has been much appreciated by citizens in recent years, in which significant growth has been seen in the region. Now I will call, I think, a meeting of the majority in the next few hours to reach a solution that can go in this direction." While on the issue of the third mandate, Fedriga said he has not spoken with the Prime Minister.

The president of Friuli Venezia Giulia continues: "We have reached an agreement on the waiting list decree and therefore I think we have made important steps forward". The agreement "provides that the substitute powers must have clear parameters to be implemented and clear parameters for exiting the substitute powers, because - he explains - the Regions do not want to find themselves, as in the case of deficit, with commissioners and receiverships that last decades and, moreover, have not resolved the situation at all". Fedriga adds that "next week" he will meet with the Minister of Health Schillaci "so as to be able to definitively draft the text from a technical point of view".

The crisis in the Friuli regional government came about after the councilors of the Lega, Forza Italia and the Fedriga list resigned their responsibilities following criticism from the FdI minister, Luca Ciriani , regarding the alleged delays in opening a hospital in Pordenone.
